Dear Clanmore Montessori Families,
Thank you for supporting our Knit Wits fundraiser which raised just over 461.00 and also our Mabel’s Labels fundraiser which continues to earn money for our Parent Association. We just received another commission from Mabel’s for 65.00 to add onto the cheques we receive throughout the year. Every little bit counts and goes to wonderful resources such as books for our library or family events.
Please note the Mabel’s Labels fundraiser is ongoing so you can order at anytime! www.clanmore.mabelslabels.com 10% of all sales are paid back to Clanmore Parent Association.
The Clanmore Montessori Elementary children were curious about what happens when boiling water meets with a minus 35+ windchill. They tried the same with room temperature water – not nearly as much fun.
Dear Clanmore Families – We are excited for a brilliant 2014 at Clanmore Montessori. Just a reminder that our monthly calendar of events is posted on the website.
Glad to have you all back.
Clanmore Montessori Teachers.
On October 30th Clanmore Montessori students hosted their first fundraiser of the year: Black and Orange Day. All proceeds from this dress-down day, a bake sale and dance will be donated to Sick Kids Hospital. It is amazing to see the children work together to create, execute and host such an event. The freedom and independence they are allowed in the Montessori environment truly allows the children to reach for the stars and realize their full potential as creative and brilliant beings. Well done Clanmore!
Clanmore Montessori enjoyed another successful pumpkin carving party. It was wonderful to see all of the Clanmore families out for some sunshine and fun. A big thank you to the Upper Elementary community and Ms. Austin for creating such a scary and wonderfully entertaining haunted house: it was the highlight of the party. Thank you also to the parent volunteers and staff for making the party happen. It is this dedicated community that makes Clanmore such a special place for our children.
Brett Davis made a cedar bird feeder that the Middle School students installed in the front yard last week with his guidance. Its a cedar split rail with a cedar trunk that has a wood spear carving that represents good luck! Thanks Brett…beautiful work and we will treasure this wonderful gift for years to come.
